Obama has apparently been listening to the small businesses in Ohio and thus, made a promise to them and has stated he will make sure there is small business reform. Obama stated that over half of all Americans work in for small businesses. Actually, 10% of Americans own their own small business and over 65% work for a small business.
My question to the Obama campaign is why now is he bringing this to the table? The plight of the small businessman is not a new problem? Didn't Obama rise through the ranks of the political system, hasn't he ever dealt with this before, or did he simply not care, because he got his campaign contributions from other groups like PACs, Unions and Corporate America? Is he serious or just giving small business lip service? I would certainly like to know.
Personally and in my personal opinion, I am completely troubled by this candidate, for a number of reasons and this latest last minute grab for the small business vote is a bit much for me to swallow. It also appears that Barack Obama is double speaking and clearly does not understand much about what the SBA Small Business Administration has been doing.
About everything Obama promises, the SBA is already doing. It seems each time we check to see if Obama means what he says, we are left with an empty feeling when we check his actions against his words. Vote against Obama, I do not believe he is the small business candidate. And where is Oprah, did she finally see through the rhetoric?
"Lance Winslow" - Online Think Tank forum board. I kind of like him for a Democrat, but not completely. I mean he's a good speaker and has some charisma, but he's not someone I'd want running this country.
Barak Obama is a Senator from the Great State of Illinois. Not much is known about him and his leadership skills, primarily because he hasn't been around for a long time. This has advantages as well as disadvantages. People are crying for an average man or woman to make a legitimate run at the White House. However, Obama isn't someone I'd call average for the majority of Americans.
Most Americans don't sniff cocaine or smoke the green stuff when they are younger. The liberal outlets will have you to believe otherwise. Obama wrote a book about his past. That saved the Clinton machine from having to dig the dirt out on him. The majority of the left wing Democrats will overlook this. However, most independents and free thinking people won't. Let's be honest here, he's not going to win over any Republican swing voters.
Another thing that hurts him is his name. Barrack Hussein Obama doesn't sound good to most Americans. I'm not being judgmental here. I'm just stating the truth from the average American. People are uneasy about the sound of his name. I won't go any further, because the liberals will try to dissect this into something it's not.
If Obama gets his act together, he may be able to make Vice President. That is only if Hillary Clinton decides to pick him. We cannot forget about Al Gore. He could put up a real fight for the White House or Clinton or Gore could pick Richardson from New Mexico as a running mate. Nothing is set in stone for Obama.
I do like his speaking skills and I admire his ability to gather large crowds wherever he goes. If the man wants to win the Presidency, he'll have to overcome many obstacles. If he can do it, all the power to him. If he doesn't, he can always say he gave a good try. I do believe he stands a better chance in the race than Joseph Biden.
Just make it easy on yourself and vote red in '08!
Jeffery S. I will leave that to the news programs and sports bar debates. As I stand here in my living room I ask myself, just what does it mean to be the real deal, as far as a political candidate is concerned.? To me the real deal is part honesty, venerability, education, work force experience, desire, compassion, commitment... well you get the idea. In this mix I place Mr. Obama, without a prepared speech, with no advisors, no cameras, no friends and family about.....just me and him. I am impressed by this slight figure of a man, whose keen mind and sense of the times, gives me reason to pause in my overall assessment of him. Here is a relatively young man who seeks this nations highest office. Here is a person, not steeped in Washington cliques.
The multiracial Obama brings a dynamic that US politics has not seen before. Try as we may it doesn't seem as if he is going to walk away from this election. He really wants to lead this nation. Real Deal or crowd appeal? Maybe both, maybe not.
So let's decide real deal or not? You will find your own answers, based on your own mind set. I find my answers based on my sense of this candidate. I have no doubt that he is the real deal and has an excellent chance of winning the primaries. Iowa, showed me that perhaps there is a subtle change going on already in this country. Our neighbors in Iowa voted for the best possible candidate and let the nation and the world know that they are more concerned with the quality of the candidate, not his ethnic background.
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Arnold_Somereville
